Long Run – Nov 15, 2008

Today was a relatively shorter long run, 12 miles. It was one of the coldest and windiest weather to run. Once again, I was running with the 8:45-9:00 min/mile group. My target pace for the marathon is 9:05 min/mile. So, it's a good training strategy to run with a group that is a little faster than your race pace. We were running on the streets of downtown where we ran non-stop for about 8 miles. We took a short water break (1 min) and continued for the last 4 miles. This course was a little tough on the last 4 miles which was too hilly. It was a nice and easy run as reflected by the relatively lower average heart rate. This was a good week where I managed to finish all the runs below the 9 min/mile and I ran about 31 miles (5+9+5+12)
